May 15, 2021 · I had the SRS issue and C110 showed bad mat. I bought the mat and belt emulator from blshop on ebay. It worked like a champ but then it threw a 9AFF code. I tried the resistor fix for the battery cable as described. A 2 ohm resistor did not work for me, but a 1 ohm 10V resistor DID work! Now, no lights. Finally!!

I have searched over the holiday but I am not find specifics on the problem beyond they SRS flash code listing that states that al 5-X,6-X,7-X, and 8-X are 'Internal failure of the SRS Unit'. The SRS unit flash code list does not link to troubleshooting procedures like other flashcode directories.

Oct 4, 2007 · If your passenger occupancy sensor is broken and SRS light is on a dash board - airbags will deploy for passenger in case of an accident. The purpose of using resistors and diode is just to shut off the SRS light. It is an emulation of a working sensor and passenger presence. Meaning, in case of accident airbags for passenger will deploy regardless anybody is there. …
Sep 18, 2020 · So, a scanner tool that would expose the SRS problems -and any other BMW module- problems, and possibly solve them is INPA. It is actually a free software tool, though it runs on a Windows laptop, and a special $30 INPA cable to connect the laptop to the car.
